Peter Hickman’s PHR Performance team, which claimed the Sportbike Championship in 2024, has announced a major change ahead of the 2025 season. The team has confirmed the signing of Harrison Dessoy, who will replace Richard Cooper, the reigning champion of the series. Cooper, who helped PHR Performance secure the title this year, will transition into a new role as team manager and race coach for the 2025 season.

Dessoy, who finished seventh in the 2024 Sportbike rankings, has shown impressive results, securing podium finishes at Knockhill and Donington Park. His signing is seen as a significant step forward for the team as they look to build on their championship success. The 2025 season will see Dessoy join a team that has already proven its dominance in the sport, with Hickman and Cooper’s guidance providing a strong foundation for his future development.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to join PHR Performance,” Dessoy said in a statement. “This team has a wealth of experience in the Sportbike category, and to be able to ride the championship-winning bike under Pete and Richard’s guidance is something I’m really excited about. I’m incredibly happy to be part of this team and can’t wait to see what we can achieve when the season begins next year.”

Team owner Peter Hickman expressed his enthusiasm for the new lineup, emphasizing that Cooper’s new role as a coach and manager would be invaluable to the team’s future success. “I’m obviously very excited to continue leading the team into the championship, and I’m also thrilled to have Richard Cooper onboard in his new role. His experience will be invaluable,” Hickman said. “Harrison has shown a lot of speed and potential this year, and joining the championship-winning team will only help him progress further. I’m looking forward to seeing them both in action when the season starts.”

With the new changes in place, PHR Performance is set to be a team to watch in the 2025 Sportbike Championship. The combination of experienced leadership and fresh talent has created a strong foundation for success in the upcoming season.
