Pitt Volleyball Adds Florida State Transfer Libero Emery Dupes

Under the guidance of head coach Dan Fisher, the Pitt volleyball program is making bold moves to ensure another strong season following their impressive run to the NCAA Final Four. Despite suffering a tough loss to Louisville in the national semifinals—marking their fourth consecutive defeat at this stage—the Panthers are already looking ahead. Fisher and his staff have wasted no time addressing key roster needs and securing Florida State libero Emery Dupes‘ commitment to bolstering their defensive lineup.

This addition comes at a crucial time for the Panthers, who strive to build on their success and finally break through the Final Four barrier. Dupes, a talented and experienced player, brings both skill and resilience to a position left vacant by the graduation of standout libero Emmy Klika. Over her career with the Seminoles, Dupes has played in 318 sets, tallying 212 assists (0.67 per set) and 872 digs (2.74 per set). Despite missing the entire 2023 season due to injury, she bounced back with a strong performance this year, proving her resilience and dedication.

Her standout season as a freshman earned her All-Freshman Conference honors, leading the Seminoles with 419 digs (3.88 per set). Dupes’ ability to perform under pressure and her consistency on the court make her a valuable addition to Pitt’s roster.
