As the 2024 NFL season nears its end, with just five weeks remaining in the regular season, predictions are becoming more critical. Pete Prisco, a renowned NFL analyst, reveals his Week 14 picks, promising an exciting lineup of games, with some surprising outcomes.
After a tough stretch of losses and misfires, Prisco looks to rebound with a fresh approach to his picks. Despite a challenging season, where his Against the Spread (ATS) record stands at 87-105-3, and his straight-up picks at 120-75-0, there’s still hope for a strong finish. Here’s a breakdown of his Week 14 predictions:
New York Jets at Miami Dolphins (-6)
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)
The Jets have struggled offensively, while the Dolphins have shown much better form in recent weeks. Miami’s passing game, led by Tua Tagovailoa, is expected to outshine New York’s defense. Prisco forecasts a comfortable Dolphins victory.
Pick: Dolphins 31, Jets 19
Atlanta Falcons (+5.5) at Minnesota Vikings
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (Fox, fubo)
With Kirk Cousins returning to face his former team, the Vikings have a slight edge. Although Atlanta’s offense has struggled, Prisco believes Cousins will have a bounce-back performance, keeping the game close.
Pick: Vikings 24, Falcons 23
New Orleans Saints at New York Giants (+5.5)
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (Fox, fubo)
Both teams have underperformed, but Prisco sees the Saints as the stronger side despite injuries. He believes the Giants, a mess at quarterback, will struggle at home.
Pick: Saints 27, Giants 20
Carolina Panthers at Philadelphia Eagles (-12.5)
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (Fox, fubo)
The Eagles are rolling, with Bryce Young facing a tough defense in Philadelphia. Even though Young has improved recently, the Eagles’ dominance, especially after their big win over the Ravens, will be too much to overcome.
Pick: Eagles 32, Panthers 16
Cleveland Browns (+7) at Pittsburgh Steelers
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)
The Browns are coming off a solid performance with Jameis Winston at quarterback, but the Steelers’ defense remains tough. Prisco predicts a narrow Pittsburgh win.
Pick: Steelers 23, Browns 21
Las Vegas Raiders at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-6.5)
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)
With Aidan O’Connell showing promise for the Raiders, this will be a close contest. However, Baker Mayfield and the Bucs will come out on top, keeping their playoff hopes alive.
Pick: Buccaneers 27, Raiders 24
Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans (-3.5)
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)
With Trevor Lawrence sidelined due to injury, Mac Jones steps in for the Jaguars. While Jones has played well in limited action, Prisco believes the Titans’ defense will be too much for Jacksonville.
Pick: Titans 27, Jaguars 21
Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals (-2.5)
Sunday, 4:05 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)
The Seahawks face the Cardinals, who are still fighting for a playoff spot. Despite Seattle’s earlier win over Arizona, Prisco expects the Cardinals’ strong defense to lead them to victory.
Pick: Cardinals 23, Seahawks 16
Buffalo Bills (-4.5) at Los Angeles Rams
Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET (Fox, fubo)
Josh Allen and the Bills are in good form after locking up the division. With the Rams struggling to keep pace, Prisco predicts a convincing Buffalo victory.
Pick: Bills 29, Rams 23
Chicago Bears at San Francisco 49ers (-4)
Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET (Fox, fubo)
With key injuries, including the loss of Christian McCaffrey, the 49ers are still favored to beat the Bears in what could be a critical game for their playoff hopes.
Pick: 49ers 23, Bears 17
Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs (-4)
Sunday, 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC, fubo)
This Sunday Night Football matchup is one of the most highly anticipated games of the week. The Chiefs’ extra rest and Patrick Mahomes’ performance should be enough to overpower the Chargers’ defense.
Pick: Chiefs 27, Chargers 21
Cincinnati Bengals at Dallas Cowboys (+5.5)
Monday, 8:15 p.m. ET (ESPN, fubo)
The Bengals have been strong under Joe Burrow, but their defense has struggled. The Cowboys, while not flawless, have been able to hang in there. Prisco believes Dallas will pull off the upset.
Pick: Cowboys 27, Bengals 26
